SOC Practitioners Summit Code of Conduct

At SOC Practitioners Summit, we strive to foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all participants. Our goal is to create a space where diverse perspectives are valued, and where everyone feels welcome to learn, connect, and collaborate. To ensure the success of our event, we expect all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff to abide by the following code of conduct:

  1. Respect and Inclusivity
    1. Treat all participants with kindness, respect, and empathy, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic.
    2. Listen actively and attentively to others, and avoid interrupting or talking over them.
    3. Be open-minded to different opinions and perspectives, and engage in constructive dialogue.
  2. Harassment-Free Environment
    1. Harassment of any kind, including but not limited to verbal comments, unwelcome advances, intimidation, stalking, or inappropriate physical contact, will not be tolerated.
    2. If you feel uncomfortable or witness any form of harassment, please report it immediately to conference staff or organizers.
  3. Professionalism
    1. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, both during conference activities and in any related social events.
    2. Refrain from engaging in disruptive behavior that may detract from the experience of other participants.
    3. The presentations and discussion will be focused on SOC practices avoiding any religious or political distractions.
  4. Inclusive Language
    1. Use inclusive language that respects people of all genders, backgrounds, and identities.
    2. Avoid making assumptions about others based on stereotypes or preconceptions.
  5. Privacy, Confidentiality and Consent
    1. Respect the privacy and personal boundaries of others, and obtain consent before taking photos, recording videos, or sharing personal information.
    2. Do not share or distribute any confidential or proprietary information at the conference without written permission from the owners.
    3. Do not present any material that is considered as confidential by your employers.
  6. Compliance with Laws and Policies
    1. Abide by all applicable local, state, country and international laws and regulations, as well as the policies and guidelines established by the conference organizers.
    2. Do not engage in any activities that may violate intellectual property rights or infringe upon the rights of others.
  7. Compliance and Enforcement
    1. Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in expulsion from the conference without refund, and may also lead to further actions as deemed appropriate by the organizers.
    2. Conference staff and organizers are empowered to enforce this code of conduct and address any violations promptly and effectively.
  8. Reporting Violations
    1. If you experience or witness any violations of this code of conduct, or if you have any concerns about safety or well-being during the conference, please report them immediately to a member of the conference staff or organizers.
    2. Your reports will be taken seriously and handled confidentially, with the utmost priority given to ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants.
    3. Personal disputes must be handled privately. False reporting of violations of code of conduct will be treated strictly including removal from the conference.
    4. SOC Practitioners Summit reserves the right to remove anyone from the conference for any reason.
